BobT
I own a 1999 Prairie 300. This is an automatic 4x4 and full-time. So far it has worked flawlessly...except under water. Long story. The full-time 4x4 for me has not been a problem. I can definitely feel it on dry surfaces, especially if I happen to drive on pavement but otherwise it's not a problem. I'm sure a 2x4 is easier to steer in the long run but without ever driving one in order to compare I can't say for sure how much different it is. I've driven manual transmissions too and that was okay too in my book.
bgfish00
Anyone have any opinions on a 300 as opposed to bigger sizes. I am coming from a 200 3 Wheeler so this is a boost.
russ
I have a Kawasaki 300 Bayou in 2wd and love it. The 4wd models are very reliable, some people don't care for the full time 4x4 aspect because of steering/turning issues. If you decide against your neighbors Bayou let me know, I would be interested in it. Good Luck.
coombia21
If you want tight turing dont get the full time 4x4 but I love my big bear full time 4x4 lots of times it is more reliable than any new one I ride with one thing you will want to do with a manual is ad a long stick to the shifter so you dont have to jam your foot under the shifter
