use decoy while fishing

Is it legal to put a decoy down a hole or 2 when im just fishing ? seems like if it works to bring in the pike it would be a good idea.

I don't see why it wouldn't be. You can use a hook and line in your spear house now. It would be no different other then the size of the hole.

Your spear is considered a "line". Your other "line" can be a tip-up or fishing rod.
