Well since getting back into the sledding interest I have found my 25 year old gear is a tad out of date. Thanks to a great member on HSO here, I got the jacket covered. Next on my list was a new helmet, man these are expensive and every shop around is out or little selection, did I mention expensive. So while bored the other day I hit the auction site and came away with a Pure Polaris Modular to my door like new $58. Got here today now can't wait to get out and do some riding with it. I'm liking the quick buckle thing and of course the tinted drop down shield. Breath deflector will be a bonus to since I wear glasses.

Esox, those modular helmets are nice. I had two CO's pull up to check me last year out on Pelican up in Brainard that had them. And I thought, man We buy them nice stuff!

I have spent weeks searching online auctions and want ads, I just got lucky. I priced them through Polaris and more than I care to spend at $279. Good breath deflector can be easily had for $15 or so, not sure though what all helmets they can fit. Next cheapest I found was $99 new but a brand I havent heard before.

thats awsome Esox. For some reason my helmet does not fit me any more. I guess ones head does change after your 36.Mine did any ways. I think I think it shrank, not my head. Your making me think I should buy back my 95 wildcat. Its a steal at $1000 with 1200 miles: that I can confirm.

She is a tank but with the intermitent vegi oil injector on the slides I easily baried the speedo. I figured 120mph. Man at 100 the helmet starts wanting to comme off the head after that its a blur.
