When did you find spring results?

Wondering when the earlist spring lottery results were found?

All my spots are already booked up and I started calling last night.

I don't think more than a week ago. In the area I hunt it seems most guys call and secure permission before the draw results are out. This makes it tough since you don't know for sure if you'll be drawn. I'd call and let them know which 5 day period you'll be hunting and if anyone cancels or maybe gets their bird on the 1st or 2nd day to give you a call. Where I hunt, guys will get permission at several different farms but only end up hunting one. Well the landowner then thinks they have hunters when really they don't. It's a tough deal sometimes. The landowner permits with at least 40 acres are supposed to give out permission as well but I've only encountered a small percentage that do. The rest are already "booked" up with hunters. Nice loophole. Keep calling & knocking on doors. Once you find a good place, keep in contact with that landowner and give them a gift certificate to their favorite restaurant or some venison chops or whatever. Make a lasting relationship and you won't have to worry about finding a spot every year. Good luck, I hope you're able to find a spot.

I secured my hunting spot before I applied. I told him I would let him know if I did not get drawn and he could let others hunt if they called. The landowner has been very good on letting me hunt the 2nd season as his daughter gets the first season.

I also send a gift card every year. It is getting harder and harder to find hunting land.
