Otter Ice Cabin

I just sold my Frabil and picked up and Otter Ice Cabin, my question is: my canvas seems really tight and I can't get the poles to slide past the first notch, do I have my pole bracket to far forward and need to reinstall it back a hair? Do you have the same problem?

I have the lodge and only use the first notch.

Make sure you don't have the velcro "ties" too tight on the poles. That will help.

My Cabins always seem tight until I can use them for about 1/2 a season then I can get them on the second notch. This is pretty normal at 1st.

Like said above keep the velcro loose, especially on the lower part of the side poles or at times it will hang up when raising and lowering if its on too tight..

Thanks for the info, I love this house compared to my other one, and that one was nice. I like the deep sled, I am able to get all my gear in it. I bought the tow hitch, and really enjoy that compared to pulling it with the string on the snowmobile.

Tow hitch is the best and safest way to haul your house behind a sled or wheeler. Get the hyfax if your towing with anything but by hand.

my lodge is the same way only thing i wished they did with the houses is added a second support pole set because my house will sits lobsided if i put the pole too far to one side
