Anyone Know how the pike spearing has been on Devils?

from what i have heard it has been slow like the fishing since 1-1-10

I am new to the sport and to Devils Lake. Does anyone have any tips on places to go to get the monster pike.

A friend and I rented a spear house from Woodlands last weekend and had a blast. We only saw 1 but we got it and now we are hooked. I plan on taking the wife up there on the 30th. Any tips or techniques would greatly be appreciated.

I don't think anyone will tell you where the "monsters" are, but you shouldn't have a problem seeing pike if you stick to shallow bays.

Use any decoys you have. I don't necessarily think there is one type or color that will work better than another. It probably will be a day-to-day thing. Have natural, bright, and trusty white-red dekes along and you should be fine.
