On Lake Winnipeg the Goldfinger, LBD Ganders Luminescent Blue Dace, and the Candlestick Chubbys are hot this year. Depends on the area, and the water color.

While fishing with a friend up on the big lake we set up and I drilled his holes and he got out the Chubby. For over 10 minutes his Chubby never hit the bottom...fish on almost as fast as it cleared the hole...not kidding at all. I got so caught up in watching him it took me 10 minutes to get myself set and fishing. If they are active and your on a school of Greenbacks...look out..they tear them Chubbys up.

A Tweak tip: With the GMO Gold Metallic Orange Salmo Chubby Darter get the Dip-It stuff they use to change spinner blade color with, and get creative with it. You can add Red Tiger stripes or an orange belly, red gills..ect...and still have the metallic flash appeal of the GMO finish. It's a pretty killer Tweak guys. wink

It should be illegal to have that much fun without the benefit of alcohol.

When you guys fish your Chubby Darters, do you use bait or fish them bare? I've tried both and when the bite is active, it doesn't seem to matter, they just slam it. I haven't had much luck with them on a neutral bite.
