On - Ice Repair

broken line

Question

So in prepping for our Red Lake trip next week, we found the trailer light wires on the Ice Castle wheelhouse got old, brittle, and whatever else and simply broke off. Because it was cold out and the wires were brittle, we could not work with them to replace the plug. The Otter portable saved us however....I set up the portable over the tongue of the house...fired up the Mr. Heater, let it run for an hour and we were able to work with the wires and replace the broken trailer light plug.

Maybe this is old news, but it really worked well for us. Now, hopefully the walleyes will cooperate at Red Lake next week!

Seems like a lot of problems with ice castle houses.

This from a guy who had corroded wiring on his own wheelhouse. Broken line was just sharing info about how he fixed a wiring problem before a big trip he is excited about. He had an excellent idea using his porty to create a heated space to fix his issue in the cold.
