attaching house to skid???

I'm going to build us a bathroom shack for up at mille lacs. it's only going to be 4 x 6 or 6 x 6 or so. I'm going to build it light so I can haul it myself onto and off the ice. how do I attach the house to the skids??? do I build the floor on the skids, or frame the floor and attach that?? thanks!!

My old skid house had the skids bolted through the floor into the skids with 8" lag bolts. There was some cross bracing in place to do this on my house. That way when you have to replace the skids, you can pull out the lags and put new skids under it. I had to replace the skids on mine and it was nice to be able to just pull the lag bolts and pull the old ones off. Just a thought, and good luck!

build the floor then place that on the skids, that way you get the strength of the floor and the strength of the skids.
