eskimo and strikemaster augers

cold one

Recommended Posts

it would depend on the size of the shaft and which direction eskimos turn. I know for a fact that jiffy's won't work on strikemasters because they turn the opposite way but I really have no clue about eskimos since I don't care for them. I have always been a strikemaster person.

I could see wanting to put a SM lazer bit on a eskimo powerhead but why would you want to do the opposite?

By the way I think it is possible as I seen a eskimo powerhead/sm bit for sale on HSO-Classifieds a couple days ago.

cold one,

the bait shop in maple lake has chipper style strikemaster drill units on sale for $100.00 for either a 8.25 or 10.25" and they are offering free shipping on the chipper style ones. they also have lazers on sale for $110 5", $120 6", $130 7", $140 8", $155 9", $165 10" but they are not offering free shipping on these.

The auger shaft broke off right at the top of where the fin starts to go around the shaft. It was right at the first weld. Auger is about ten years old, so I can't complain. Friend has a used eskimo drill, so that's why I was wondering if it would fit.

It still may be able to be welded.

If you have a welding shop near by bring it in and ask them if they can fix it. May only cost 10-20 bucks.

You can try the eskimo bit also but if the collar does not match the shaft that may require welding too.
