lazer mag sm will this cut holes close together?

hi all not looking for a debate on which brand is better will a sm lazer mag with the 2 blades cut holes close together for making a spear hole or is a chipper better just wondering i may up grade not sure yet i'm talking power auger also

Yes it should as long as you keep the tip clear of ice and give it a chance to bite before going wide open. Dont know if you already have one and just cut more holes to save time but an ice saw is a great $100 investment. A good ice saw will get your hole open just as fast as drilling all those holes and you will have alot nicer looking hole.
