Any west metro open water spots?

Curious if anyone knows of any area's near (within 5 miles) 394 and 494 intersection where a small creek or water hole is open year 'round and may hold a duck or two?

Anything related to a lake or pond is not really relevant since the ice would be questionable in the vicinity of the water and I need to get close.

I know there is a creek in St. Louis Park that is stacked, if that is what you mean.

A little farther than 5 miles but the mississippi in Anoka is stack with mallards right now have been seeing them for the last three days--- gritting my teeth every time they fly by

Small pond off 62 west of 494 that usually holds 20 or 30 mallards.Another spot i always take the kids to is down in shakopee off of 101 just down the rd from valley fair.A few hundred to a thousand mallards along with some honks.Its a great place small pond and river.The kids bring a small can of shelled corn,dont take long for the kids to get covered up in ducks!Great place for pics.
