Andy Loos1432404924
just curious how often you have your feeders turn on per day and how many seconds?
BLACKJACK
Those spinning feeders will put out a lot of feed in a few seconds if you let them. When I was running a couple I was more interested in feeding pheasants, so I'd have them come on 3-4 times during the day, like 8 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM for about 10 seconds. I concentrated on daytime hours when pheasants are active, then the deer would clean up what was left at night. Experiment, try different lenghts and times, then check at early morning. If the corn is gone, then run it longer. Be warned that more deer will be lured in as the winter wears on. My food plots start out with 6-8 deer and by the end of February its not unusual to see 30+ deer in the morning.
hockeybc69
I do 3 seconds twice a day.But I dont have the feeders out for filling their bellies. I have a cam set up there, so its more a spot to get deer to stop over for some pics.
