Looking at going up with buddy end of this month. Where is the best place to rent sleds and room? Going during the week to help keep price down.

theres an artic dealer right in houghten

they rent sleds and rent out a house a cross sreet

but you would probably need more than 2 people

its pretty big lots of rooms so 506 people makes it pretty cheap

of course lots of hotels around there

i dont think theres actualy anything in copper habor for sleds

rooms up there i think we rode rode there nice ride from houghten

i found a bouchre from up there

fun area lots of good trail stops and they dont rip you up there either

Dan's Polaris in Houghton and Ramada in Hancock is where I'd suggest you start looking...there are a couple rental places around the area though.

I just got back from a trip up there. Started in Houghton and ran up to Copper Harbor. We stayed at the Mariner North, Copper Harbor, then returned to Houghton the next day. Was a good time. Be sure to check out the Cliff View bar in Phoenix and the Gay bar.

gregg52, thanks for clearing that up. I just posted to find a group to go trailing with and if someone now asks if I want to go riding with them to the Gay bar in Mich, I will be Ok with that, I guess?

Haha, I thought someone would question that...Gay is a town in the Keweenaw and the only thing in town now is the bar named after the town...it has nothing to do with sexual orientation Leech.

we always rode up an back the same day

not really that far from houghten to copper habor

plus alot of 50-60mph riding
