Marcum VS 560 camera troubles

Does anyone out there with a Marcum VS 560 camera have any success viewing at night? I'm on Mille Lacs and have to shut it off when it gets dark because I can't see my bait from three ft. away. I've called Marcum and they told me to adjust the brightness, which I did and it does help some, but not enough. Anyone else had this trouble? Solutions?

I have an older model, not sure of the model number, but it has the red and green led lights and the ir one too. As soon as the sun goes down the camera goes on the shelf, great during the day and completely worthless at night. At night it lights up all of the floating particles in the water and it looks like a snowstorm with the hi beams on.

I have the cadilac of cameras the 820 and it gets put away at dark to, I fish ultra clear water but look like a blizzard unless I put the submersable light down. That is legal here.

Thanks for the replies. At least I know I'm not the only one. Strange that they would put a light on the things if they weren't meant to perform in the dark. Hmmm?

I think the lights are intended more for deep water daytime viewing than a nighttime application.
