Well, I lost my old one. A Rayovac did a great job for $15.

Went to replace it and I came across another RAYOVAC but this was a RAYOVAS Sportsman Xtream 4 led for $20.

This one is even nicer. More Compact 1 wat 45lumuns, you can get the .5wat for $15, with A regular light and a red night vision light and a blue tracking light. With a rotating defuser that works great.

Man the white light is powerful. I was messing around in the dark with the jigs and I switched over to the blue light the glow jigs lit up like a christmas tree in the tackle box and held their charge.

No more fumbling around looking for something to recharge the jigs, its on my Head. grin

One draw back as it only takes one aa batery and it says only 2 hr operating time. Have not used it yet to see what the operating time actualy is with a rechargeable

I purchased the ROV Sportsman's Extreme for hunting a few years ago. You're correct it is a nice, compact, bright light. The beam throws a nice spot for walking thru a dark woods. It lights glow tacks up like runway beacons. It easily stows in a pocket and the price is right.

The one thing I hate about it is with the 1 AA battery, The light doesn't last long and when it goes, it goes FAST - and always at the wrong time (like half ways to my stand). Be sure you carry a spare battery. I tried rechargables but I didn't think they lasted long enough between changes.

I've been using a longer burning Princeton Tech Aurora for fishing but I'll have to try the Rayovac for recharging my jigs...
