buying new bow

im looking for a new bow and need some help on what to get.im thinking about bowtech sniper. any one no anything about this bow or have any other suggestions. thanks alot.

Get your hands on as many differnt models as possible and see what feels the best for you.

first question that comes to mind is what's your main purpose of using it? Whitetail? Antilope, Mullies, etc? I'm not familiar with the sniper but am familiar with there liberty, Camander, destroyer, and black ice and I highly recomend these models as they are more likely better performers but it does come down to how much you want to spend. Most accessaries are going to run additionally $150-$250 (rest, sights, release) and then toss in a dozen arrows $100 you could be looking at some investment.

Regarding the sniper I would go shoot one at the nearest shop and see for yourself not many on here will give you specifics because most bows feel very different to most hunters. Go shoot the most bows you can and don't get caught up in looks as much as smoothness, balance, and most importantly vibration. Good luck and take the advice to heart from what these other fellows will chime in with they're are some knowledgable archerys in this forum.

If you do exactly what meat run suggest then you will be fine. Don't get caught up in a particular brand 'cause it's the one everyone shoots.

I am in the market for a new one myself, I shoot Hoyt now and love it, but I still plan on shooting a few Bowtechs, the new Mathews as well as some Hoyts. So keeping your mind open will land the best bow for you in your hands.

as far as brands, you should check out the Forge Bows made in WI; smaller company with excellent bows, just bought one this past summer and love it; if you get a chance to check one out, dont let the small company name fool you!

Make sure to try out the 2010 bowtech destroyer.........I ordered one about a month and a half ago and just got the call that it came in today!!

i agree with the riverrat with what he said but i would also shoot as many as they will let you, i bought a mattews mission 1/2 the price of all the pricy bows out there

So did u end up getting a new bow?? I just picked my new one up yesterday...the 2010 Bowtech destroyer 340 and all i can say is WOW! Great shooting bow.....fast, lightweight, and SMOOTH as can be!! I hope you shot one, cause you would fall in love!!
