quick tip

Anyone use the frabil 27" quick tip? Looks like a sweet go to rod for panfish and nice perch.Sweet tip for live bait rig.How nice is it ?

I picked up one at the Ice Show and have liked it so far. The tip can sense a bite pretty good. I'm happy that I picked it up

Basically a more inexpensive version of the JM meatstick

The meatstick is the closed to this rod? I was checking the quick tip out at the store and thought it was nice but didnt know about how it would be for a walleye fight when you are out perch fishing.Seemed like it had some back bone.

I own this rod and the reel that came with it. The rod "shows" bites very well while maintaing good overall feel. I use the the Northland Bloodworm on 4 lb line for crappies on the St.Croix in about 30 to 40 feet and feel bites okay. The rod construction is great and looks good too. I dont have any complaints about the reel either.

i have one love it... great for lite biting fish. i would go with the power noodle though from thorne bros

They are decent rods. I personally prefer shorter rods for panfish though. Sweet pea is hard to beat.
