banded pheasant

Has anyone ever shot a banded pheasant..got one last weekend..called for reward but no call back..plan on giving the money back to pheasants forever but just wondering..too bad it wasnt a tad bigger or would have mounted but still pretty cool

I shot one a couple years ago. The local FFA class had let some go I called and told them it had traveled 3 miles from where they released it to where I shot it. kind cool I thought

Who banded it? I've read that they don't travel very far so it would be neat to get an idea of where it was let go and where you got it.

Banded birds are more than likely put out by some local sportsman's club.

I think cabelas out of the Mitchell, SD area releases a handful around the area every year with $100 rewards
