Lindy Darters at Lake of the Woods

I ran up to LOW for a day trip on Saturday. Started out with some of my favorite jigging spoons and minnow heads, the bite was a bit slow. We probably caught 10-12 fish the first two hours. I switched over to a Lindy darter and started catching fish immediately. I caught 5 fish as fast as I could put my line down and my brother in-law had seen enough so he asked me for one. He put on the gold one and he started catching fishing right away as well. We comtinued to fish with them until about 4pm and we probably caught around 75 fish total. Many small saugers but also easily enough to keep a limit of nice walleyes and nice saugers. Wow it was a blast. I really like how quick you could fish with them, no need to put bait on and pinch off heads etc.. The rattle brings in the fish and really keeps them around. We had several that would follow it up and smack 4-5 feet off the bottom. When the fish would finally came out of the hole they were shaking and wiggling around and it sounded like a bunch of tamberines. These Lindy darters have the best sound I have ever heard and they really bring in curious fish froma distance for a look. You have got to add these to your tackle assortment this year. Way to go Lindy!!!

What size and colors did you find the best?

I'll be up there after the first of the year and always look forward to it.

I had really slow fishing tonight for about an hour. I was jigging with a bunch of different spoons/minnow heads and also had a minnow under a bobber down another hole. I finally switched over to the Darters and it wasn't 2 minutes until I had fish showing up on my screen (they weren't there before)and finally got them to go. Ended the night with three nice eyes and also missed another three at the hole. Made me a believer tonight.

Been experiencing this for years with the Chubby darter also...but i did pickup a couple of lindys couple of weekds ago to see if they perform as well...
