old jiffy ice auger questions

i have a older jiffy ice auger dont know what model its white with a 3hp 2 stroke techumseh engine wonderin if anyone knows were to get a carb rebuild kit thanks

I believe that your auger is a model 30. They made them for a number of years and they were white 3hp augers. If you do a web search there are a few sites that have them for sale.

Like Bushwhacker said, I believe you have a model 30..good 'ol workhorse. Most of those used the Tecumseh AV520 engine/kit...should be able to get a kit form Jiffy or anyone that services Tecumseh. Lots of those people in the Twin Cities area you can order from.

I meant that there are several websites that have the carb kits for sale, if you can't find one locally.

I was surprised to find the Acme Tools/Rents, had a carb kit in stock for my model 31 this last summer.

How can you find out the year of manufacture on the old Jiffy augers? This sounds like the model I have. I know I have had mine for at least 15 to 16 years.

Look for a number on the carb.It is located on the side of the mounting flange. I found a kit at L&M Supply. Could check any small engine repair shop should be able to get a kit or have 1 in stock.Same kit used for several years.

I just went through the same thing with my very old (over 20 years) Jiffy auger and this guy had the kit.

The model number for my auger is stamped on the engine cowling. As stated above, there is a number on the carb as well. I had to take my carb off to see it.

I found the serial number on my Jiffy. Anyone know how to determine the age ?
