Denali II

Broke out my new Clam Denali II for her maiden voyage last night. Have to say I couldn't be happier. My 15 year old son and I fished together for 3 hours without arguing once about who was in who's way. wink I wanna use it a couple more time before I start doing any mods though. Anybody have any ideas? I know there is a great thread about portable mods already, but with the different layout of the Denali, just wondering if anybody has any suggestions.

My GF got me one for Christmas which she already let me open smile

I've been thinking of just doing the Reflectix on the roof and lights on the poles. For lights you can get them at the Outdoor Pro Store on this site or you can wire some up from Christmas lights from Menards or HomeDepot or wherever you get them. You can get the Reflectix insulation from weither of those two home improvement stores.

I've always tried to keep my portys light and mobile, so these are the only mods I'll do to them.

Storage hasn't been an issue for me. When we walk out, my son pulls a second sled with auger, minnow bucket, etc. When I take my wheeler, I have a mad dog auger carrier on front and a homemade rack on the back that holds everything I need. I suppose if you were walking out by yourself it could be tough getting the auger and stuff out there, but the seats do flip up and its suprising how much you can fit under there. I spent alot of time deciding which new porty to buy this year, and decided to go with the Denali because of the extra fishing room. Haven't been let down yet.
