where can you find used firearms from private partys advertised these

Hi

used to be you could pick up some cheap shotguns from private partys etc from publications like tradin times and newspapers,,HSO-Classifieds dosent allow firearms advertising,,,I realize they have adds here in the classified section and places like gander and cabelas have used guns and the gun shows but those types of venues command pretty much book value but are there any other LOCAL websites etc where they have local firearms advertised,,any help would be great

i would think for MN would be HSO-Classifieds (I dont know if they allow firearm sales or not) otherwise local newspapers, and most local newspapers now have a HSOforum. if you live close to ND, there is a site called bismanonline.com with alot of choices

About 20yr ago, I advertised a S&W 5906 in either the Pioneer Press or Star Tribune ... there were other guns listed ... they had a section for it.

I'm guessing they don't anymore.

Otherwise, I just wanted to see if anyone else comes up with anything.

there are other websites out there. gunbroker is one to check out, gunsamerica is another. You can't type C's list on here, it gets replaced with "HSO classifieds" and we are trying to get a firearm forum here as well

private parties can list on gunbroker but most people will list that the firearm must be sent to a FFL holder then transfered to you from them. I know that if I listed a firearm for sale I would only ship to a FFL, but there is lot of red tape for a non FFL holder to ship firearms even to FFL's. I would just pay my FFL to ship it to the other persons FFl for me.

I always check auction bills, might involve a little time and traveling, but if nobody is there looking you can usually buy cheap. Check for auctioneers online and go thru their listings you might find something close to home.
