hub-style house...heating question

I am looking at getting a hub-style house (for a lot of reasons, I eliminated the other types) and while I have yet to narrow it down to these two, I had a question about the Clam Expedition vs. the Basecamp Thermal. I rarely fish with anyone else in my house (hard to fish with someone next to you when fishing for lakers in deep water), and I am not that tall, so the size of the house doesn't matter. What I do want is good heating efficiency so I can bring as little propane with me as possible. People with experience, do you think the smaller Expedition would be more efficient or would the Basecamp's Thermal top improve efficiency enough to make up for its larger size?

Gunflint-Thermal all the way if you're going to be way up north fishing for lakers. You'll like the extra little bit of room, but you're really going to like how warm it is inside of the thermal, and you will use less fuel. Also, you won't get any condensation in there. It's well worth the extra money! You won't regret it at all.

I have the non-thermal Base Camp and I would suggest the thermal version would be very very warm. I have fished in the non-thermal at -5 with a sunflower style heater and no issues. In fact I don't think I have ever turned the heater past low, definately never needed it above medium. The Base Camp holds heat very well. Dripping condensation has for sure been an issue though. So if the thermal will reduce the dripping I would go that route.

It will take a couple of times setting it up by yourself in the wind to figure out the best way to do it, but once you do, it is pretty easy even in the 15+ winds. Buy 4 extra anchors though. In even the light winds if you don't anchor the side walls down the side(s) facing the wind will callapse on you or your heater.
