Strikemaster problem...

Check the spring. They will get stretched and then you cant get full RPM. Im assuming its just not spinning as fast as it did before. If its still turning as fast as it did before and you have good blades I would have the blade pitch checked.

You must have the 9" triple blade. They had alot of problems with that auger bit, if one blade was out of pitch it won't cut. They were taking them in on trade for a new 8" 2 blade lazer bit. They took the 3 blade bits cut the top off and turned them into extensions and sold them for 8 or 9 bucks.

I would definitley check the auger pitch. If you take it to Strikemaster Cy can do it and correct the pitch if necessary. Had the problem a couple of years ago. No matter how hard to pushed on that thing it took all day to cut a hole. He said it could have happened by dropping it, which I am very careful of, or redrilling partly frozen holes and the auger starts to jump. thats probably where I had my issue.
