Where to catch catfish in this lake

find the steepest break in the lake and go at it. leave one spoon/head on a deadstick and hole hop with another. i'm no ice pro but winter cats are fairly easy to find most days.

I can find them in the fall, and they are usually on the north end, but I have ice fished the lake quite a bit and have yet to get one. Lots of 16-22" fish in there, just can't find them.

There really aren't any steep breaks, it is a bowl.

Anyone else?

Cats will travel around in schools and most times you will have to wait them out.

Also they tend to be VERY light biters, even lighter than small panfish sometimes.

Use an ice buster bobber and a small piece of cutbait on a jig of somesort. Make sure you use a jig and not a plain hook. If you use a plain hook with a split shot, they will actually come up from below and bite and let go without you even knowing it.

I found that out the hard way.

The first spot I would try on that lake would be the Southernmost tip of the deep hole on the west side.

I wouldn't be opposed to helping you try to find them
