Strikemaster 224 blade?

Does anyone no where i can pick up replacement blades for the SM224, it has 4 stainlesss steel blades...a buddy of mine is looking for a new set?

Call the Strikemaster shop directly in Big Lake. They are your best bet

I heard directly from a Rep. from Strikemaster that the reason that they didn't make the 224 anymore is because of EPA controlling engines made by Tecumseh. They couldn't produce a right 3 h.p. engine to turn them, so they had to go with the 2 h.p. After reliezing that the 2 horse wasn't enough they quit making them. He said it is in the thought process to bring them back with the new Solos. He also noted that they would be faster than the Lazer Pro, but they wanted to wait a season to see how they will run.

can i order them right off the HSOforum or where..? couldnt find the exact blades on the HSOforum....maybe a link...thanks

Just to clarify, your buddy will need to order two sets of blades. Both 8" power blades and 4" hand auger blades - that's if he's running the 8" 224!

I believe the 224 takes these.

1 set of 8" power lazer blades. LPD-8PB 8” Lazer Power

1 set of 4" lazer hand auger blades. LD-4B 4” Lazer.

Thats interesting that they told you that was the reason bigslugger...I had some issues with my 224 not cutting last year and it ended up being the blade pitch was off. The guy that fixed my auger at their place in BL said they stopped making them because of all the issues with the pitch being off and then the auger wont cut. Will be interesting to see if they make a new model...I will stick with a 2 blade lazer after dealing with that auger last year and the cost of replacing 4 blades. But good old strikemaster got it working again and it sure cuts fast!

Is there a way you can tell if your pitch is off or if your blades are dull? Mine cuts like junk. I have to hold the auger at a certain angle for it to cut right.
