Does anyone own one of these or know someone that does? How are they? I have read some reviews and several have said the handles break easily, is this true. Any personal reviews?

I just picked one up yesterday, can't tell you how well it performs on the ice yet but it seems very sturdy for how light it is.

My buddy picked one up last year (10") and it worked pretty slick.

I honestly can't see how so many people are claiming the handles are breaking - they must really be hammering those things down for that to happen. Just let the auger take itself into the ice and you'll be fine.

I had an older one before the new engines, once I replaced the carb it's ran fine since. My partner has it now I stepped up to a Nils

I just bought one and then bought the wall hanger, handle and bracket that goes between the handles, like on the Strike Lite, in hopes it will help disperse the force to the other handle if it falls on a handle.

I have seen a Magnum fall and break the handle when it hit the concrete floor. I would just make sure not to leave a strikemaster leaning up on anything. I think it would take a fall from a upright position to very hard surface to brake it.

I just got the new Lazer pro. I had the old mag 2000. The Mag got put to the test and no problems with the handles. You just need to take care of it. The new Solo motor seems to be very nice. No problem in the driveway.

the rep at the show told my dad that they had to much oxygen in the mold and they were weak for the first couple years and now they have the problem under control.he also said if i break mine to go directly to big lake and they will replace it for the first time for free

I have had my mag for over 10 years with no problems.

From what I am hearing on here the handles don't have the problems i thought they did
