zamboni
Taylor may have won CMA's "Entertainer Of The Year" award, but after watching Carries "Invitation Only" on CMT, Taylor has a long way to go in my book. Her live performances can't hold a candle to Carrie. BTW- Carries HOTTER!!
Jim Uran
Way hotter, but than Swift seems like she's my kids age so I don't see her as being anything other than cute.
fishinchicks
Taylor wins at our house. (Three teenage daughters) We won't buy a Carrie CD. If Carrie Underwood hadn't won American Idol, she wouldn't have been nearly as successful as she has been. She sings out of her range on too many songs, and basically screams on pitch to hit the notes. Kind of grates on me. Taylor has some maturing to do, voice wise, but I think that will come. She is filling a hole in the tween demographics that other country artists are not able to.
LMITOUT
What's ridiculous is that Swift wouldn't have even made it past the initial auditions of American Idol, yet she's Entertainer of the Year. Simon would have ran her off before she could get through one line of a song and told her to find another profession. Apparently having the ability to sing isn't one of the qualifications for winning Entertainer of the Year, because there is no doubt that she can't. The title of this thread is absurd because they aren't even in the same realm of talent. It should be "Taylor vs. William" As in:
Skeeter21i
Two perfect examples of the sorry state of current "country" music. Once corporate Nashville picks the next poster child to jam down the throats of radio listeners it'll be Taylor who?
zamboni
Taylor is HORRENDOUS live. If I went to a concert of hers, I would ask for a refund after.
Dooley87
definatly Carrie, she wins on a few different levels in my book, I am not in highschool any more nor do I want to listen to a story of girls troubles in highschool so I find it very very hard to listen to Taylor's songs cause they are all the same and i'm not a 13 year old girl, were as Carrie sings real songs that an adult can listen to such as her new cowboy casanova, you can't tell me you can listen to that and not want to sing it or dance along to it. Then we can debate there looks, well taylor is attractive she is too skinny in my book and to little girl appearing were as Carrie is all woman if you know what I mean hands down easy choice.
