Cleaning the hull of a boat that has been in the lake all summer

Go2fish

Question

So I just pulled the boat out last night and wow is there some serious stuff growning on the bottom of it.

Anyone have any tips, good products to use, can you use bleach?

It is an aluminum boat so I do not think you can do an acid bath.

Should be fun now that it is below freezing, might take it to the pressure washer car wash.

That car wash would be kind of ideal. I was gonna say a pressure washer so that would work pretty good. They got stuff there that would work pretty good. If its painted, just use the normal car was soap. Otherwise if its bare aluminum, a good wheel cleaner would work great to loosen that stuff up.

I had great luck with vinegar and a brush on my aluminum. Then I washed it down with car wash soap. I did a quick wash this fall and will take more time in the spring but it really got rid of the water spots and slime.
