Anyone use Amsoil in there Can Am Outlander?

I have a Can Am Outlander xt Max 650 and Im thinking of putting synthetic in the Atv.. Does anyone else use this?

I don't have a Can Am but I do use Amsoil OW-40 in my Yamaha .

Can Am doesn't already put synthetic oil in their machines? The DS 650 I had ran synthetic from the time I brought it home. Bombardier (now Can Am) recommended to run synthetic.

If this isn't the case, then I would definitely make the switch. From my experience, there wasn't much difference between the Mfgr's oil vs. amsoil or any others. With that said, I would stick with Can Am oil.

Yes in the DS they do come with synthetic, the outlanders however do not. I talked to the Can Am dealer and he said in ten years of working there he has only heard of 2 guys asking for synthetic, seems kind of crazy..

There was one time I ran standard oil in the DS. It didn't take long before I went back to running synthetic. Granted they're two totally different machines, but the difference it made was night and day.

Yep - I just changed the oil, front & rear diff, and the chaincase oil to Amsoil synthetic. So far so good. Its a 650 Outlander.

Yep, my bad -

For the Tranny - Amsoil calls their product "Chaincase Oil 2000" , its what is reccomended by Amsoil for the tranny.
