Maybe Picking up

No sure if its a sign or not but on the way home from the family get together tonight I seen more deer out in the fields than I have in a long time. All during legal shooting light too. Maybe this little cool snaps got them up a little more. Ill know more aturday morning with the smoke pole.

It has still been pretty slow going for me. Thought that it would pick up some in the woods since all the fields around my hunting area are harvested and plowed already. Still haven't seen much of anything. Two does and a spike is about it. I do have a trail running by my stand that still is getting hit with scrapes, but my guess is that everything is very nocturnal. I have sat for many hours and notta! Hoping that some colder weather and snow will show up soon and that will get them up and moving a bit....other than that, I don't know what is going on!

Lots of corn and then having lots of pressure means very nocturnal deer. The only deer that I see now are on private, unpushed properties. The public land is a complete dead zone.

I will give a report tomorrow night as I plan to spend most of the day tomorrow up a tree with my bow in hand!! Hopefully a big boy will come along, but if that baldy walks too close.......I have never taken a deer with my bow and the trigger finger is getting a tad bit itchy if ya know what I mean!!!!
