Mouse setting disappears at reboot

I'm using a Logitech wireless mouse and every time I reboot, I lose the pointer speed settings.

How can I keep it from changing?

When you find out let me know! I have a laptop that I use occasionally at work and it does the same thing, although it's not a Logitech mouse and it's not wireless. Running XP on that too.

Besides that one I've never had it happen on other computers.

Interesting, I have the Microsoft one and periodically the computer does not recognise the usb connection so I have to unplug it and plug it back in.

Love the settings you can do on the wireless and the magnifying glass I can pull up with the mouse.

Try setting up the mouse and immediately rebooting. I have seen this a couple times in the past. It is a strange thing, but we are talking Windows. You could also have a bad profile, could try logging on as administrator and renaming the profile under documents and settings and logging on again it will create a fresh profile and you can then copy back documents, favs etc from the old profile.

I was thinking I should use the install CD that came with the mouse. Never did that.

I have a Logitech mouse that changes its settings and I swear it must be doing some kind of automatic update cause I lose the profile completely and have to reload using a old disk. It is a Trackman Marble and I want my right and left small keys to do a page up and page down but when its gone you will not have those options in the software until I reload the drivers.Not spooky but weird.

I still say try setting it up and then an immediate restart. There are times that running it for a while before saving messes something up, it is Windows ya know
