Vista won't keep correct time

I have new vista home premium laptop and the clock won’t stay at the right time, it seems to be 1 hour ahead and when I go to internet time and update it gives me an error and will not reset. I have all of the window updates up to date.

I have a older vista system that when I update it says successfully synchronized.

I have nothing installed as of yet on the system, I have made recovery disks and would a reinstall maybe fix my problem?

Is it set to the right time zone? Also when you boot if you enter the BIOS there will be an option to change the system time there.

Do you have your clock setup to automatically synchronize?

I am going to go with get the time zone correct, if you don't have the time zone right when you reboot it is going to set itself to the time zone you have it set too.

RMK you might want to boot to the bios to see if the time there matches if not change it there see if that helps
