Strikemaster Auger Blade Cover

I noticed at GM that strikemaster has started selling the "snapon style" blade covers similar to the Jiffy covers.

I also noticed they want $30 for one

They seem nice, but not that nice.

i use the one that came with the auger but i also have a cabelas auger carrier and that combo works great

Strikemasters snap-cap will be the best $30 dollars you ever spent. I have been testing them for 2 years and they are much better than the covers that come with the auger.

Wow, quite the statement over an auger cover. Guess I'm more in line with sand_pike's opinion. The cover that came with my auger seems to do the trick, even though it takes me an extra 10 seconds to fasten. Maybe some aren't effected by the economy but this guy would have a difficult time dropping $30 to replace something that already works. Oh well, just my opinion

My blade cover took a flight all the way across the lake on skim ice last year it was a tad bit windy. Prolly ended up in the next county or the aerator.

They are worth the money, no handed operation cannot be beat. One foot to take it off, pop the blade in to get it on, can't be easier.

May have to check out the new covers. The original, I always keep a spare bunge cause blades accidentally cut through one before. Can also come off easy if not put on just right, causing more chances to expose stuff to them SHARP blades.

You will love it, I keep the one that comes with the auger as a spare in the back of my Cat.
