Second weekend tactics

Do you change your tactics for the second weekend of the rifle season? If so, what changes do you make?

Generally we focus more on the stands that are in heavier cover and closer to the bedding areas as opposed to hunting field edges. The deer are more wary and seem to move only closer to dawn/dusk. This has been pretty successful for us.

Sounds like good advice to me. Usually if it is colder we will concentrate more on our Tamarac swamp. But this year it is so wet we will stick to the dry ground nearby.

You are right on paceman, same tamarac swamp was too wet this year, very few deer, but monster buck chasing doe into it according to my bus driving cousin, he almost hit him/her. Bucks are chasing like crazy, I'm sure by tomorrow with my luck I won't see a one. But you never know.
