Polishing Headlights

I would do it by hand. It could be done with a da but you would have to be very careful not to overheat it (it would end up way worse if the plastic melted). It might take a extra 5 min by hand but its worth the time.

Here's the link on the post I did about restoring headlights. The only difference is AI start with 400 grit then work my way to 800, 1000, 3000 grits and then a final polish. The NAPA's in Newport and Invergrove have the wins kits which include all the sandpaper and a sealer which extends the clarity life of the work you did. I think they guarantee there kit for 5 years.

I have a mini polisher and use the 3M system along with the Wynns kits which make it a lot faster but doing them by hand is not that hard.
