Ice Scratchers

Ok, bought an 03 RMK with 2" lugs and think I should probably have some scratchers for when I do run on trails. I was looking at Sidekicks (carbide tipped cables) but a buddy said he had them when they first came out and they didn't work as advertised (beat the heck out of the rail, got hung up on the rail, etc). Does anyone else have these? Is there a better brand of scratcher or another?

Iv'e used "Ice Scorchers" and they work fine on the ice when pulling my otter house. You can find them on line. DrJ.

I'd get the ones that mount on the skis. They kick up the snow and ice in front of the hyfax.

i have a Crossfire with 1.25 inch lugs. i had some scratchers put on last year and I would highly recommend them. They are mounted on the skid frame and I was amazed how much stuff they throw up. wish I had them sooner. i was even thinking of getting a set mounted on the skiis just for more stuff to keep things cool.
