HEY..OK....settle down Eh!

You do not see the foot rest bar in this pic as it is flipped down, but this is all I have handy to illustrate.

DSCN0152.JPG

This is a shot of the front bar seat support you move to the third bolt position on the bottom so it can be used as a footrest or an auger support, as it can be rotated from that point up or down out of the way as required.

The new rear seat support (you would need to order from Frabill or manufacturer a new one yourself) and the old full rear seat support will be bolted firm to the seat base. You will not need to remove the seat now as the seat and frame will tilt or be removed fully as required.

The rest you should be able to figure out on your own.

Good thread! would the commando be too heavy to pull by hand? my gear would be Bucket w/tip ups, little cooler w/suckers/shiners, a couple rods, small heater. No power auger (i still use a spud) and i usually dont move too much, just need a small flipover to haul the gear and stay out of the elements when need be.

The Commando is not too bad to pull, even without the Hi-Fax kit. I have not added them on mine yet, so I can't really say how much it helps...but it must..they usually do.

A good light basic hit and run unit is the Recon. I used the Recon for light river running tell I got the Commando, it was nice for that. The Recon is a bit tight but you can sit back in the tub farther on a spider chair, or a pail in the Recon model with no set front seat. That way you can keep your feet inside the tub if you wish, and that opens up more space for fishing and "Stuff" up front.

I used a hand auger more often than not with the Recon, kept things light. I seldom drag the power auger unless the ice starts to get thick...than I get lazy...and fire it up.
