I had an M2.. It's a great gun 3" only.. great for what you are going to use it for because it also cycles 2 3/4" shells nicely.. even 7/8 or 1 oz.

It is very light and comfortable to carry out in the field.Relitively low recoil.

Its big brother the SBE doesn't always do so well on light loads with the factory spring installed. But nice if you start to dabble with goose hunting, although probably not nessisary.

I have shot the Vinci and there is basically no difference in the two guns as far as shooting characterisitcs. There is a big difference in design. You can take the Vinci apart probably twice as fast as the M2. Having said that it takes 2 minutes to completely dissasemble an M2... about 1 minute for the Vinci..

SO.. If you can get a nice price on the M2 I would definately get one!

You really can't go wrong either way. I still have the M1 and a Nova for goose hunting/slug. I am actually trying to get the slug barrel for the M1, but trying to figure out how to mount a scope, while keeping it light and smooth for Pheasant and duck hunting. I don't think drill and tap mounts would be the right answer, but that side saddle mount doesn't seem to be sturdy enough. Thoughts? Sorry for highjacking the thread.
