To all my "ELECTRONIC DEER CAMP" friends!!!!!!

So last night as I couldn't sleep I thought of a name for us folks who are regulars and contribute with suggestions, knowledge, tips, and support in so many ways on this HSOforum. Since my days of a true deer camp are not existent I would like to call this our "ELECTRONIC DEER CAMP" you know all your buddy's that tell stories, share pictures and rib one another but via the internet. So to all my "ELECTRONIC DEER CAMP" friends good luck be safe and have fun. I want every one back on here next week with nothing but good stories and pictures to share!!!

Here's one for you!

Last weekend at Ripley my son who is bow hunting north of Alexandria, text messages me and asks if I had seen any deer.

No sooner do I try to text back to him, here comes a buck so I have to put my cell phone in my pocket and grab my bow without a glove on. Now there is snow on the ground and is cold out, so now this deer decides to look right up at me and freezes there and my bare hand is getting pretty cold.

So he didn't like me being there in the tree that the trail was next to so he backed up and started going to my right and I waited until he cleared some brush and drew my bow and let the arrow fly and watched the arrow go right thru @ 35 yards.

45 minutes later 100 yards away following his blood trail he laid. 150 pound 4 pointer!

It seems alot of times I am texting a deer shows up!
