Jordyn Kaufer
I was wondering if anyone out there uses some of thier open water DUCK decoys for field hunting too... Never really thought of using them till... TODAY! haha Im getting into field hunting and it would be easir on the billfold if its worth using open water deeks for field hunting as well... thanks,Jordyn
benbosh
haven't tried it but im sure they would basically just look like the shell decoys would be sitting on the ground. it would probably work, ive used em in a mud flat near water and ice in the late season and it worked
chub
They'll help. Put a spinner out in a field along with a few deke's.
Jordyn Kaufer
Will do! thanks guys. But the problem is, the wing fell off of my mojo along with the the little metal piece that hold onto the motor drive and thats what you stick the wing into too. Anyone know where i can buy something like that for the mojo? (its the mojo made be the "edge")

jeepguy
I have used goose and mallard floaters to fill in to a spread. It adds color...just try to stick the keels in the dirt/mud so they sit upright.
Fred_Bear
If you have any full body or shell honker decoys they will be much more helpful than duck decoys for ducks in the field. But yes definitely use your floaters if its all you have. They definitely don't hurt anything they just aren't very visible in the field
jdog
fred hit it on the head geese definitly work better for the fields duck decoys are smaller but they do help the spinner in the field is huge though

phishnerd
Expedite is actually local out of New Richmond, WI. I know the replacement wings are spendy so I never take mine off. I've put lock-tite on my set screws for piece of mind too.
