Flakeoutdoorsguy
Was just out tonight and got into some weeds so went to jerk them free and SNAP! Does anyone know fig rigs warranty policy and possibly a number to call?
riverkid21
I had 3 break on me and exchanged them all with no problem. I was in the Brainerd area at the time so I exchanged at Reeds. That was probably 2-3 years ago, and since then I haven't seen many around. If you are near Walker or Mille Lacs I'd try Reeds.
jkahler
I thought they went out of business.
musky5555
I had two Fig Rigs break on me the same way in a week! I figured the first one was a fluke and exchanged it for another, but the second was no coincidence. I exchanged the second one for a St. Croix and haven't had a problem with that in three years. MikeEiden
Fig Rig did go out of business but another gentleman bought the Tooth Tamer name and dealer base from them. Completely different rod than before. I think the new company was taking in broken FigRigs for a discount on a new rod.I'll try and find a number for you. At least there are a number of new rods out with good warranties for a fair price such as Musky Armor/Hulbert, Okuma, and Tackle Industries came out with a rod with extended handle option and a 5 year warranty. All of these are $130 or less.
Cooter
We had the new 'Fig Rig' or as said Tooth Tamer as a sponsor for our tourney - if I remember right you have to pay for replacements. Was reasonable, I don't remember the amount. Also think you can most models for $150 or under. In the scoonie area Mouldy's, the Big Minnow, and Crazy D carry them. You can talk to Ron at Crazy D: 715-874-6996.
Flakeoutdoorsguy
Thanks guys! Ya I think I am going to switch to a new rod because this is my second to do the same thing. The first I thought was my fault but two and there is something wrong.
