Show Down

Who out there fishes with the Show Down? I am an FL-8 guy but the small footprint and zoom are interesting. I sure would miss to hum of my vex...

I fish one. I like it. I fish regularly next to an FL-8 and a marcum VX-1 and never have troubles with interference. The zoom feature is nice at times. I actually bought the original VPG and have had it upgraded once with "Showdown" features and am going to send it back for the newest upgrade. Certainly a nice feature to be able to download technology upgrades. The only problem I have had at times is seeing the smallest jigs in deep water (size 14 or smaller). Sometimes they come and go, but for the money, I think it is a good unit and would recommend it.

I have one.. My wife really likes it. Its easiest for her to read. For those that have the older show downs there will be an upgrade this year(cost of $50) it will have even better IR, and a adjustable zoom.

for the money, its a great unit.

Thanks for the info. I hear the new units come with the upgrade. I'm thinking the it would be good for the wife/buddys that dont fish much.

I got the gen 1 VPG and had the first upgrade as Knutty had done. I really like it. I would like to get the latest update because sometimes you hit a zoom range that keeps bouncing up 5 feet and down 5 feet. The new upgrade would let me set where the zoom range starts at.
