Tires for grand prix

I have an 06 grand prix that i need to get new tires on and was wonding what would be a good choice. It has standard 16 inch tires. I had goodyear on it and only got about 50,000 out of both sets. Any suggestions.

What kind of goodyears?

Tripletreads have been pretty popular with no complaints. I put Comfortreads on the wife's minivan and was pretty impressed with the ride and winter traction. We sell a lot of Dunlop Signatures and I have no issue with them as well. This may come as a surprise but I have no issue with Uniroyal Tiger Paws. I have owned a set of these and they where a pretty decent tire. I just put a set on a couriers park avenue that we service regularly so it will be interesting to see how they hold up.

I have an 07 Impalla I put on the Goodyear tripletreds about a year ago. 80,000 mile tire too if I am not mistaken. They are the best car tire I have ever had, great in all weather really hugs the ground.

am I wrong in thinking that 50K miles Isnt that bad for a set of tires?

50,000K is not that bad for a tire IMO. I have a 1998 Grand Prix and have been using BF Goodrich Traction TA tires. Very happy with them. Get about 60K.

50k is pretty good for 50 - 60k tires.

I have had a couple sets of the Traction T/A's and really liked them. They seem to do pretty good in the snow. For the money they are a good buy.

Those goodyear triple treads would be what I would be putting on next if I had to buy new tires. I have heard nothing but good things about those. I got a ride in a Hemi Charger up in ely that had those on it and it really did well. There was 12 inches of snow for a rear wheel drive car with lots of power, I was really surprised how well it did.

i have '07 impala and have the triple tread tires on. I have 48,000 miles on them, and have about 1/2 tread left. great tire, good in winter, great on wet road. I will replace these with tripletreads again.

I put Kumho KR21's on my grand prix. They're rated for 80,000 and the salesman swore they would make it. I have 10,000 on them and they are showing wear,at this rate I will be putting new tires on next summer. Can't wait to see what kind of run around the salesman gives me when I show up with 25,000 on them and their shot!

The tires that are on the car a good year Assurance ComforTred that rate for 80,000 miles. The tires are a wearing evenly i dont think its the car cause them to were fast.
