CJH
Macs are overpriced compared to the specs of a comparable Windows machine. That being said, they are well designed and are definitely more user friendly for the average joe.I still have XP on my machine and saw no reason to "upgrade" to the garbage called Vista. Iambjm
Let's not turn this into a Mac vs Windows thread. Both have their advantages and a person is best advised to pick one that suits their usage best. I agree, I have used both Mac's and PC's on my former job and I personally did not like the Mac. I am positive it will be a PC, just not sure how beefy I want to go. I may even end up replacing my desktop next year, so I am thinking a little less on a laptop and save the rest of my budget to replace the desktop next year. JollyT
Well, Win 7 is officially out now. Only advice I would give you is get an optical drive and stay away from the low power processors like the Atom unless all you are using it for is surfing and email. 2 GB RAM is plenty for most, but if you are running applications like Photoshop you may want more. Don't expect any laptop to be a killer game machine. The graphics chipset just isn't up to it. Save the games for your desktop with the high end graphics cards.
