*Boneheaded Question*

I bought a new battery for my truck ('01 Sequoia) this weekend and went to install it yesterday. I ran into a problem. The new battery is the same size, but the location of the terminals is flip-flopped from my old battery. Obviously, I tried putting the battery in the other way, but the cables aren't long enough to reach the terminals that way.

So, did I just buy the wrong battery, or is this a ploy by Toyota to force me to buy their batttery?
