hoggs222
I finally went to one of the Thorne Bros portable mod shows and there was only 1 fish house with mods. Got a free burger, but was excited to see some mods.
McGurk
It didn't seem to have as much interest around here beforehand, compared to previous years. I went to one in Albertville a couple years ago, and to the first one at TB, where there were dozens and dozens of posts beforehand for each one, and pretty decent attendence as a result. Maybe we have to have an impromptu one with a local GTG this winter. We could showcase our mods on the ice and see them in action.
McGurk
That's great, Hanson! I'm glad to hear there was a good attendence. You have to admit, there was less chatter this year leading up to it that previous years. Here's to making it to the next one!
DTro
Sounds like it’s evolved from a modified portable house GTG into a small ice fishing show/sale.Nothing wrong with that, but quite a change from a bunch of guys hanging out in a park showing off their mods and having a cookout. At least that was my take on the event last year. I think there was only one or two “modded” houses there to check out. Don’t get me wrong it was fun to check out the new ice stuff and say hi to some old faces. Not only that, but the seminars/give aways were great! Just not really a “mod” event IMO. More like a prequel to the Ice Fishing show.
