Posting Problems

For some reason I don't understand, I'm having trouble posting images. All I'm seeing on the preview mode is text. Since I installed CS4 I don't have the available ram I used to have. Could that be the problem?

Ram shouldnt matter if your using photo hosting site like photo bucket.

You may maybe forgetting a step, I did that a few times, I forgot to copy then paste. Also are you hitting image code I believe thats the one you want for posting pictures.

The hosting site I use gives me code that doesn't have .jpg at the end. I have to add that to my code.

Looking at one (on the tattoo thread), it looks like you may need to remove the that is at each end of the link text. When you copy/paste using photobucket, you have to remove the extras - flickr you do not.

Hopefully it is as simple as that!

I tried removing the IMG, it didn'tmake any difference.

It looks just right to me.

It looks right to me as well. I even compared some of my images from photobucket to double check the image address.

My only thought is the security settings may be set to private on this one. That may be why it won't even show as a link.

Now it says that your image has been deleted or moved. Is it still an active image, or has it been deleted?

Just as an FIY, my images marked "private" show up here no problem. Also, awhile back I copied and pasted the url of your photo (minus the image tags) and there was no Photobucket page found, so that makes me wonder of something is goofed up on the PB end.

Its really strange. I tried post a landscape that I had posted a few day ago it looked fine in the preview. I thought it might something I did when I save the image for web in CS4 which I am just learning to use. some I went back and repeated the process in PSE6 (which I know quite well) and tried to post, same thing just text. There must be something strange about the image. Its to bad, it is a pic of my brothers back that is complete cover with a dragon and a buddha.

I have no idea what the problem is, frankly.

Because it worked for me though Photobucket, my assumption is that it is neither a problem with PB, the image itself nor HSO/FM, but something else going on on your end.

Any other thoughts, anyone?
