I'm with you on the rain thing elwood. I love the rain grin It seems that when the velocity or discharge goes up on pool 2 the bite gets better. Lots of impermeable surface means lots of run-off. Lots of run-off means an increase in velocity and discharge. The bite on pool 2 seems to reflect this quite closely most of the time during low water periods and this summer is no exception. It may take a little while for the run-off to get to the river but it does seem to make a definite difference wink Has anyone else noticed this? confused Might make more of a difference in pool 2 due to its proximity to the city. I've been comparing pool 2 discharge data to my nights out on the river (wing dams in particular) and there seems to be some what of a correlation. When the discharge is dropping the action seems to slow down. When the discharge starts to rise the action seems to follow. It does make sense though if you think about it. Lack of current allows the bait to move around and spread out, thus spreading out the predators as well. More current forces the bait fish to school up and seek shelter behind the current breaks and seams and you bet the kitties aren't far behind cool SO BRING ON THE RAIN!!!
